![]() Operating system: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version 20H2 OS Build 19042.685 I got my HP Photosmart 8450 network printer working and wanted to use my scanner again. This is a fairly new build and the only time I have tried using my scanner with this computer. I have also run the system file checker, and no problems were found. I am using HP Scanjet G4050 Photo Scanner Full Feature Software and Driver 14.5.1. I also confirmed that my software is current for my scanner. ![]() All of my drivers are up-to-date, and I also updated my BIOS for my motherboard to version 1003. I've been home since December 4th with COVID-19 and decided to perform a clean install. When performing this build I did not have a fresh install of my operating system. My USB devices are listed in the hardware section. After plugging in my external storage devices it still works, but when plugging in a USB hub I then am no longer able to scan. I plugged in additional USB devices one at a time. I have disconnected all of my USB devices aside from my mouse, keyboard, and the scanner. My HP Scanjet G4050 scanner is recognized in my device manager when I plug it in, states that "This device is working properly." in the Device Manager General tab, initiates to scan when I select scan in the HP Scanning software, but then it is stuck on "Preparing to scan."
